

The Kirkfield Lift Lock is located a short distance north of the village Kirkfield, Ontario. With a lift of 14.9 m (49 ft) it is the second highest hydraulic lift lock in the world, the higest being the hydraulic lift lock at Peterborough, Ontario. The lock has a width of 10.1 m (33 ft) and a length of 42.4 m (139 ft).
The Kirkfield Lift Lock is situated at 256.2 m (840.5 ft) above sea level and is the highest point along the Trent-Severn Waterway.
