Traveling along the Bluewater Highway there are lakeside towns such as Goderich or the village of Bayfield worth visiting.
Just north of the city of Kitchener lies the quaint community of St. Jacobs. One of the highlights of this area is the St. Jacobs Market. You can spend a day exploring the indoor and outdoor markets. A few kilometres north of St. Jacobs is the town of Elmira, where Mennonite families still travel with horse and buggy.
Another interesting destination to explore is the Elora Gorge, along the Grand River. The Elora Gorge Conservation Area allows overnight camping and visitors can explore the Grand River from hiking trails atop 70 foot limestone cliffs. For the more adventurous, there is Tubing available at the park where you can register, rent equipment and take a ride down the Grand River on a tube.
