The Parry Sound area is less populated and the terrain a bit more rugged, but it is unsurpassed in beauty. Thousands of lakes, rivers and streams make this area popular with sports enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

Algonquin Provincial Park is one of Ontario's best known parks and encompasses a huge forested area. Camping is allowed within the park and visitors can also explore numerous trails or take a guided canoe trip through the park.
